Ok, so how do you guys tackle the task of taking a squared tang and turning it into a graceful rounded one like I see on French guns?

I inlet it with @ 1/8" showing above the line of the wrist, absolutly flat on the bottom of the tang,a sacrificial screw to hold it down, then file away. The higher the tang, the rounder it could be. Kinda easy when ya do it. I'm gonna brag a little,Kit Ravensher showed me how to bo that.
