In April, here in SW Ohio, it was rain, rain, some more rain, and a dollop of cold. Hard to find a day to shoot that target. May was a totally different story, several days of good shooting weather. Now this month is playing hob with getting any, much less three, of six, targets shot. Right now, at 6 pm, it's 90.7 degrees with 82% humidity. Similar temp yesterday with even greater humidity. Didn't see how hot it got today, but a little while ago a beagle was chasing a rabbit across my yard and both were walking! Highs the next four days are predicted to be 95, 96, 92, 97. How is it where the rest of you guys are?

Much the same here in south central Kentucky

I am in North Idaho for the next couple of weeks. The weather here has been on the chilly side (49 degrees high yesterday) and generally have been having rain most every day. Yesterday it did not stop all day.
The rendezvous we were planning on going to this coming weekend was cancelled due to flooding of the area. The one we were planning on going to last weekend was reduced in duration from 3 days to a one day shoot. Going to it we were sure it was going to be rained out, but the weather gods smiled down and it turned out to be a nice day after all.

Oklahoma is hot and windy and muggy and hot and muggy and windy. Did I mention hot, windy and muggy?

Similar to the weather Nessmuk is having, and oddly enough more moisture than normal for my area... You can't plan a Range trip without rescheduling the next day because rain or wind, or both...
I think I've mowed my lawn more (so far this year) than I ever have in past years during the entire mowing season...

Wow, if you can, get out there and shoot! I hope to shoot this month's postal match targets on Sunday. Weatherman says high of 78, but since that is 20 degrees lower than what we have had for quite a while, I'm expecting a plague of locust to add to the fun. We'll see.

Well after weeks of rain it has finally stopped.
Currently camping at a traditional archery fathers day shoot in the far north of idaho.
No shooting here, atleast not BP.
Hoping to get back in the game next week , my shop is finally complete and summer weather is on its way.

Been really ugly here. Hot in the mid nineties. Had a double derecho (look it up) come through 3 days ago. Really tore the place up. Power just came back on 3 hrs ago. House was 87*. Kinda like the old days before air except I was a lot younger.

Our weather in SE Ohio has been just like what the Miner '49er described. Had a let up (into the mid 70s) yesterday and today, but NOAA predicts hot and humid again starting tomorrow. I did a bunch of yard work yesterday, been loafing today when I could have been out to the range. My get up & go seems to have got up and went! :laffing :laughing :luff:

Yeah, WH, it only got to 74 today, sunny and no wind. I took advantage of that and got to shoot my six targets - some were pretty good, but that 100 yard baby is a whole 'nother story, but a whole lot of fun as well. Going up to high 80's tomorrow, then back to the 90's. Hope you get your targets shot this month.

Oooof! Up here on the green side of our mountain we've had it bad. Almost 100 days no moisture. Now we've had extra heavy monsoons start up. Its been thunder and wet for four days straight. I'm loving the cooler temps having seen the highs in the low 100's for weeks until last Saturday....... But I still can't go outside for too long especially when it's super bright out makes my head pound like a drum squad. But at least the critters now have some water for a little while. We had deer and coyote jump the horse fence to risk a drink from the horse tank. And everything beyond the pond is dead brown dry and dusty. Of course now its all mud!!!! Oh and the smoke from the fires both north south and west of us have had air quality dreadful for most of the spring. They are still battling several mammoth fires less than fifty miles from here and we had one in the canyon last week, less than ten miles from here, that shut down I-40 for a day and burned about ten homes. Not good. Not normal. Not right.

Unfortunately, that seems to be the "new normal". NOAA weather keeps saying that it is "unseasonably warm". It will be cool for the morning so I have great plans to get some wax on the car before it heats up again. I hope to get out on Monday morning to shoot my targets....

Sorry, Jim, but we were in just so much of a hurry to get back to Kalifornia that we just couldn't spare the time. :o ;banghead; ;banghead;
And if you believe that, there is a piece of Kansas oceanfront property that you might be interested in.
