English Scalper, Handled In Deer Bone
« on: September 17, 2010, 06:02:37 PM »
A typical English scalper trade blade set into a deer leg bone, and wrapped in deer rawhide. The tang is full width, and a tad longer than standard for extra strength. Under the rawhide the bone is secured with two iron pins. 7 1/4" blade of 01 steel. The rawhide is somewhat protected by a generous coat of spar varnish. The sheath is my standard center seam style. Hope you enjoy a look.

Great looking knife. It reminds me of my Longhunter knife that I have which I just love. I use it for just about everything.
