Title: Pedersoli Brown Bess
Post by: James Kelly on October 10, 2010, 08:51:38 PM
I'd like to upgrade Pedersoli's second model Brown Bess, using first model hardware. This to make it closer to a Committee of Safety musket.

So . . . does anyone have practicaL experience in locating hardware that can be made to fit by filing away brass, or cutting out some wood? Specifically, how about the long land pattern buttplate, trigger guard & side plate from The Rifle Shoppe? Or, from Dixie?

Yeah, I can answer this question myself, if I buy $everal $et$ of part$.

Get Track of the Wolfes catalog that has full size pic's, and, if ya can wait,TRS also. I built the 1742 TRS Bess in iron, best shooting smoothbore I've EVER owned!
