Simple. The best. Make it today.
Ingredients:
2 - 12oz bags of cranberries (6 cups)
2 medium Granny Smith (or other baking apples),
peeled, cored, cut in 1/2" or so cubes
1/4 cup orange juice
2 cups sugar
2 tablespoons brandy (or bourbon, or...)
Directions:
Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
In 4 quart ovenproof dish of some kind, combine the
apples, cranberries, OJ, sugar, & brandy and toss to
combine well.
Cover with foil or lid and bake until the fruit is soft,
about 40-45 minutes. Remove and stir.
Serve hot, room temperature, or chilled.
Happy Holiday Season to all!

Should compliment a turkey drumstick quite well!
-
Meant to include: If it seems too runny for your taste, remove the cover and put it back in the hot oven for a bit to reduce it. But keep an eye on it!

Sounds very tasty!
Thanks!

Looks very good, Kermit.
Is there any specific origin of that recipe that we would be interested in knowing? Do you ladle it over ice cream, or have any other nice way of presenting it?

:dollars for every one I have eaten, I would have
exactly 1 million and be more than happy to return it to the giver. Sorry I just
don't like them....never have, never will. I think just as highly of coconut.

Well, they do have a distinctive flavor, so I can understand why not all would have a taste for them...

Origin? Wife got it from a friend. Sorry, not a centuries-old family recipe. :rt th
