Italian .45

A friend traded for a .45 rifle made in Italy. It is in really good shape and looks real good. I have an opportunity to get it for very little money, but have never seen one. I have seen many made in Spain and they were decent at the most. Has anyone had dealings with any of these guns? It is styled like a Hawken.

              I have had several Investarm Hawkens in both .50 and .54 and was satisfied
with them all. I'd be happy to have one in 45cal.That is my favorite cal, at least for
my use.

If it was made in Italy it is probably made by Investarms, the same company that supplies Lyman and Cabellas so it is likely a quality piece if it's been well maintained.  Have you checked the bore?

im late to this but . it may not be an investment or Lyman
 45 cal  it could be a pedersoli or an FIE .
 Older pedersoli’s are not bad . don’t much care for the newer ones .
FIE didn’t make to bad of products . IMO their long rifles were a little fugly . More along the lines of a CVA  or Jukar . But with a weird  humped type lock . With some work they can be shaped up pretty nice though .
 Shooting wise , they shot fait enough

Well I traded and it is an older FIE. it's been well taken care of and the bore is great. Shoots real good. I am very pleased.
