Title: Leather Rum Canteen
Post by: BEAVERMAN on July 31, 2020, 11:03:45 AM
Reposting old threads that were lost after the forum cleanup from broken threads or lost pics from photobucket, . Maybe some one can use it as a reference or  ideas for their own build! A leather rum canteen hard formed and jacked with bees wax holds approx 10 oz.

Good job on wet moulding the leather.  I never tried doing a rum canteen, but might have done some ball flasks, shot flasks and powder flasks.  All the same thing except for what was stuck in the end of them.  Wooden stopper, shot valve or powder valve.
We had a cutting die made for the clicker press so the shape was always the same.
That's a handsome piece.
