Anyone in Missouri?

(1/2) > >>

IntrepidBF:
Greetings!   I'm brand new here so, excuse me if I'm not in the right forum.  Just wondering if anyone on the forum is in Missouri?  I'm in the SW part and looking for someone who can chat about flintlocks around the time of the late 18th, early 19th century.  I do some living history presentations and am just adding a Brown Bess to my kit.  I'd like to know about where to find ball moulds and other accessories.  Thanks!

Bigsmoke:
Welcome aboard.  Looking forward to hearing of your adventures.  And photos are always welcome.
For moulds and other accessories, you might try Track of the Wolf, Dixie Gun Works, Log Cabin, The Gun Works, Cain's Outdoors and October Country.  For Powder Horns, check with Powder Horns and More.  Jeff Tanner in England makes very good moulds, especially good for big bore guns or for unusual sizes.  I have had him make .990, .980, .820, .715 and .650.  His response time is very good and his prices can't be beat.

Welcome to the forum. You are definitely in the right place! Almost everyone here speaks "Flintlock" (some better than others). We have several Missourians on the forum as well as living history presenters.

Welcome to our TMA cyber-camp IntrepidBF.  :shake  :toast  :*:

Bigsmoke mentioned some names of great places to find what you need to make smoke.
We also have a forum here dedicated to flintlocks, you might find some interesting info there.

Welcome to the fire!  Not close enough to be any help, but I'm sure someone will chime in shortly!
