Is there any way the flying red banner can be turned off already?

I would second that thought.

Same one I'm on!  Every time I open this site, before I can log on the "flying red banner" about the Lyman recall pops up and I have to click on the X to turn it off so I can continue.  It IS a little irritating, but if it warns one person who hasn't seen the recall it would be worth the little extra effort of turning it off.

I hope the rest of the membership is as understanding as you Kees.

Yes, I agree 100% that it is something of a pain to have to click on that thing every time you log on.
But....if only one person sees it that it actually pertains to, then it's certainly worth that little extra effort on my part.

FWIW: Seems that Safety Notice only pops up on my computer once after the computer has been backed up....about every 96 hours, or however often my backup is now configured.
When I turn the computer back on and log back in to the forum, I expect to see it show up again.

Uncle Russ...

It's the many things we don't do that totally sets us apart.

I saw the banner for (I think) 2 days when Rob first put it up, but haven't seen it since.

Not sure why that is,.....  :o

I'm sure Rob will see this thread and take the banner down.  :hairy

Every morning when I turn the machine on and log on to the TMA the flying fickle finger of fate comes zooming up.  Damn near got whiplash the first two or three times it happened.  I have learned to shield my eyes now in the morning.
I agree that the bother of having that silly thing come flying up in the AM will be worth it if it does help maintain anyone's health, but that doesn't stop it from being a royal PITA.  So, whatever, leave it up or take it down.  I guess in the long run I don't care.
Possibly if the warning could be a little less dramatic, it would be better.  Like just have it there when the page displays, then goes away with the first key stroke, that would get the message out, and still save some whiplash.

One flag would be enough on my golf course 'cause it would take me all day to get the ball into a hole.  :laffing
