Title: Desert Island Adult Beverage?
Post by: WonkoTheSane on January 25, 2021, 04:02:18 PM
I know a lot of us like to kick back and relax with a favorite adult beverage.  I was thinking, you had only one adult beverage to take with you on a desert island, what would it be?

For me, it would be my "special occasion" ale, Chimay Red, a Belgian Trappist Ale.  It's rather expensive, so I only have three or four a year, but when I do, boy are they good.

For me it would be Friesengeist. Rarely found outside of Germany it is very much worth seeking it out. A special preparation using specific implements, plus special glasses in which to serve it, makes this a rarely encountered treat. Only had it once, but would love to have it again. Wow! :toast

Mine would be a 30 year old Anejo, made from the finest blue agave!

I would be completely happy with Blanton's or Woodford Reserve.

Well, let's see, I am thinking Gallo VSOP Brandy as a first choice.
Next thoughts would be Jameson Irish Whiskey.
And finally, Seagrams Crown Royal or VO.
I'm not much of a beer snob, nor much of a beer drinker.  Bud would work OK, but none of that wussy Lite crap.  If available, Singhai from Thailand, and not the watered down garbage imported into the States.
Wine?  Well Deau (sp?) Cab is nice, so is most any Malbec from S. America.
Salute!!!
