TC or GPR
jimknife:
Question for the more knowledgeable people. Which would be a better gun a TC Cherokee FL or a GPR Fl and why? The TC I can get for 250. I haven't seen the TC he says he thinks it is a Cherokee.
Bigsmoke:
I don't believe T/C ever made a Cherokee in flint. So, if it's a flinter, it's either a Hawken, Renegade, PA Hunter or a Firestorm.
On a personal note, I think the T/C is a better quality gun with better finish, especially the older models.
The GPR is no doubt a more historically accurate appearing rifle.
Shooting wise, I think it is more the guy behind the gun than the rifle itself. They both shoot well.
BEAVERMAN:
Smoke, didnt they make a Seneca in flint also?
Bigsmoke:
Beav,
I sure don't recall T/C ever making any of their small frame rifles in flint. Nor were any Patriot pistols made that way, either. I imagine someone could have converted one somewhere along the line, but it isn't factory.
tg:
I would go for the GPR just for the more correct style these guns have when compared to the TC guns.
