Nice, you can watch the stock darken as you work on it!

Sure is nice to work outside.
The sun really makes any imperfect spots easy to see.
Hit with alittle sandpaper, all gone.
Hoping for oil today

The oil color. Tested on the patch box cover compared to the sanded stock.
Thinking about adding a tint to the final coat of oil.
 ???? Maybe.
Just to darken things alittle but I know it will age on its own.

I'd let it age on it's own, Kevin. no need to hurry it. it's going to be beautiful.

Right on ✊
It's done no more fussin. The stock has a nice satin finish.
disassembled and polished the lock , waiting on Amazon ( friday) then I will black the trigger assembly and the lock and barrel.
Pretty sure the brass will stay brass and let it mellow with use.
40 round shoot coming up in a few weeks + probably one more rondy end of the month in Oregon.
 That oughta breaker her in.
