Title: Another Ramrod Question...

OK, so I got my GPR. Awesome. But it has a really flexible black ramrod. It measures about 31 1/2 inches. It also has a jag that is about 2 inches. I can't seem to get the jag off, but I REALLY haven't tried that hard.

I would like to replace it with a hickory ramrod. All that track have are 42 inches. Any suggestions?

Get a plain rod from track and a couple of brass ends and a jag and cut it to the right length soak it in linseed oil and your you're in business.

Because you asked the question I can only assume(yeah,I know) your not REAL familiar with attatching a jag to a rod,it's not just glue and push on. Get the 42" with tip installed and just cut to length. Use the rod from your gun as a pattern,I'd leave just a touch more length then ajust as needed. You may have to sand the rod a bit to fit also,they have a tendency to be a touch thick,not much though.

yep , what pathfinder said .
 sounds like your rifle has  a replacment rod .
as such there are any number of diffrent tips .
 some have sections that can be removed and changed . others do not ..

 the long  wood rods ToW sells are really just blanks . they are ment to be cut down .
as was said . get a long one that has the  brass threaded end already attached .
 cut it down to size .
  i would also recomment drilling and pinning the tip .
  what ToW sells on their wood rods is just glued in place and can pull off . the pin will help keep that from happening
