I'am a lefty, which doesn't usually make much difference to me, when shooting most modern rifles, even boltactions, and semi-auto's, other then the occasional unfriendly safety which I have been known to get changed, when I can. And all of my caplocks have been righthanded, but the Flintlock: I don't know.
Do any leftys on here shoot righthanded flinters, and does the flash, etc matter to you, that much? I never had much problem when cocking the hammer on a caplock, but I would sorta expect a flinter to be a little more unfriendly to pull back when on the wrong side.

When ordering a custom, of course, I would choose a lefthanded flinter, but there are a lot more opportunities to buy used righthanded rifles then left.
-
Not a problem here shooting a righthanded flinter lefthand.

If you consider that a flintlock double either rifle or shotgun has one lock and barrel on the left and no one has ever questioned shooting them. :toast

Just make sure you wear a long sleeved shirt , the touch hole exits across your right arm .
Cheers Bob.

Right,what he said, Hello Michael

I'm a lefty and I have 4 LH flintlocks, I also have 2 RH flintlocks. I shoot all of them regularly and have never had a problem. The right handers are a little more awkward when it comes to priming the pan but for shooting there's no difference.

I am a lefty, and have always shot right handed! My dad was a lefty, and catholic school worked on that! He shoots right handed as well!

I have got to remember to watch that video, when I am at work; here at home it's imposible, because I am on dial-up.
