Reposting old threads that were lost after the forum cleanup from broken threads or lost pics from photobucket, here's an early build from awhile back, this one wound up in Loanghunters aka Ron Laclar's collection. Maybe some one can use it as a reference or ideas for their own build!

Quite true. Since I started making powder horns in 1984, I don't recall ever having enough time or ambition to ever start in on something like that. Well, that's not entirely true. I did make a full faceted horn one time (and one time ONLY). That darn thing took me a week of working on it here and there. I said never again, and true to my word, I never did make another horn that I couldn't finish in less than an hour.
Good job on that horn, Jim. I like the twist on the flats.
