How does the rear sight mount on your barrel,.... screws,.... or,... in a dove-tail?
And let me be the first to welcome you to our TMA site. :shake :applaud

Try https://www.gunpartscorp.com/gun-manufacturer/thompson-center/muzzleloaders-tc/hawken-tc?sort-by=sku%20asc. Also track of the wolf.

Try eBay, there are some there but they are used. Also give The Gun Works Muzzleloading Emporium, they have several to choose from depending on your application.

Thank y’all so much for the welcomes!! It screws into the barrel. I just traded for this rifle and didn’t realize until we had made a deal that the rear sight was gone. I used to shoot black powder for a long time but I had an accident and broke my neck and couldn’t do very much. Had to sell all my stuff to keep the lights on but God’s grace is sufficient. 8 years later and I am walking without a walking stick now. Hoping to get this old .54 to smokin again! Another question, the barrel has some surface rust on it and around the nipple area. I was thinking about refinishing and rebluing it but I am thinking about browning it. What’s y’all opinions on browning and old T/C? Again, thanks for the welcomes. Ole Scratch

Over the years I've browned the barrels of numerous commercially made muzzleloaders,.... TC, Lyman, Pedersoli, CVA, just to name a few. :bl th up

Sorry to hear about your accident, glad you are doing better and getting around again.
Got a couple of T/C Renegades that have browned barrels, a .50 cal. I built from a kit over 30 years ago and a .54 cal. that was originally blued but was later browned before I got it. Personally as far as muzzleloaders go I prefer browned.
-
I browned my old Renegade, I thought it looked a lot better than blue.
-
Most all of the TC's that I have owned or remodeled and flipped over the years have been browned, just like that look a lot better
-
To me browned barrels look more frontier-ish!

Someone else was looking for a T/C rear sight and I offered a freebee, but he never got back to me. I am now rescinding that offer and making it to you. PM me your address and it will be in the mail.
Oh, and welcome to the site! :*: Lots of good people on here, and we have monthly postal shoots so you have an excuse (if you need one) to go burn some powder! :laffing
