Flintlock Long Guns / Re: Whoops

Nothing severe buddy. Are you sure you wouldn't be better off with a 3/4x7/8? I know a guy that makes a mental error once in a while and forgets to put powder in. I should have inquired about the type of rifle before making a comment about flint size. My apologies.

Remember, it's important to use the correct size rock in your lock.

Thought I had a 7/8 x 1 in there but turns out if it was a little bigger than that.
Didn't ding it up too bad but still.
  Whoops!

Ha ain't no way that's happening.

I agree with Rob. If that were mine, I'd want it to stop right there. Beautiful.

From what I've read about cherry wood, there's no stopping its propensity to continually deepen in color ....  :scared: .... unless it's kept in the dark and out of ALL light sources.

I'm not sure how many times I have tried & failed, miserably!  Didn't even try the last time I was out.  Looking at my May postal target it would have been a waste of powder & lead!  :o

Don't blame you one bit.  :bl th up

It might be safe from a prb, but, if you forget to take the ramrod out of the barrel before firing a shot it could be in jeopardy. All jokes aside, nice picture.  :hairy

I wouldn't dare attempt that shot or I'd end up with a ventilated pick up truck.
