AUGUST POSTAL TARGETS

<< < (2/4) > >>

Ohio Joe:
Thanks John. Our local club use to shoot the "V" Notch Targets (offhand from 25 yards - 5 targets  with 1 shot at each target for score - measured from the center of the Ball) to see who could bury their ball into the V notch without touching any part of the black... This is where the small calibers came into play and I used my .40 cal Ed Rayl Barreled Rifle).

Anyway, it was fun and frustrating at the same time.  :laffing

Nessmuk:
Guys, you should print it in "Landscape" mode. After watching the shooting scene in Sgt York several times, I guesstimate the distance between 25 and 30 yards. Let's use 25 yards as standard. Standing offhand is standard for our postal matches.

I can't believe someone has never seen "Sgt. York", Gary Cooper's best performance!

The Miner '49er:
Hey everybody, on Vudu, for $3.99, you can watch Gary Cooper in the '42 movie as Sgt. York. You'll not only see that great movie, but get some hints about this months rondy target.  :bl th up Come on all you guys who said you would shoot in the postal but haven't done so -- watch the movie, get inspired, support Nessmuk and shoot! Bet you'll be glad you did.

Ohio Joe:
Here you go. The Sgt. York Turkey and V-Notch Shoot... old Hollywood style...  :)

Bigsmoke:
That was great!!

Love the kibitzing from the crowd.  Sounded just like some shootin' matches I have been at.
