Title: Shot size question
Post by: ridjrunr on March 11, 2013, 10:03:59 PM
I thought it was on this board, that I saw a chart showing shot size in decimals as related to shot size. Does anyone have this available ?
Like # 6 shot size = .030" or whatever size it is as an example.
Thanks for any help.

Subtract the size in hundredths  from 0.17 to get the diameter for that shot size.

Example: #6 becomes .06.  0.17-.06=0.11"diameter
               #71/2 becomes 0.075.  0.17- .075 = 0.95"

Geezer,
Thank you for that post. It, I'm sure will be helpful to
many that come here for information.
Some kind moderator might want to post & lock that
somewhere. Shooting forum seems like a good spot....?

Or you could just bookmark this chart. Weight per pellet--steel or lead, sizes in other countries, more than you might need to know.
