If you like the wide open spaces / this is a great drive HWY 2 here in Nebraska... My wife and I just love taking this Hwy when we travel. And although the video is only 11 minutes long / we spend at least 6 hours on Hwy 2 when we travel "west to east" and vise-versa...

Here I thought all Nebraska was as flat as Kansas, I was really wrong about that. Very nice video, Joe, Thanks for sharing.

You're welcome Nessmuk, glad you enjoyed them.
I live in the western part of Nebraska, (along the Pine Ridge) and we have buttes like you wouldn't believe. I'll have to see if I can find a video of the Pine Ridge to post... :shake

As soon as decent weather gets here - my wife and I have plenty more hiking (and more exploring) planned through them. 'course, we've been exploring them for well over 30 years. It never gets old! :hairy

I live in the Platte Valley again, but work about 45 miles north. In the evenings I watch the hills probably more than I should, and the road not enough. One evening in November, I saw mule deer, antelope, elk, and some of those *$%^ invasive whitetails that should be exterminated. No buffalo though. . . .

The times I've driven through Nebraska it was the l-o-n-g-e-s-t state to go through, I swear! Saw some hills towards the South-Western corner, climbing up into Wyoming. Stopped at Cabela's there when it was the only store they had. I wouldn't mind going back there, except i don't think my Sweetie would appreciate moving again! :luff:

It's a long drive from western Nebraska to Eastern Nebraska, and I've always hated the thought of driving south to pickup I-80 / so I just angle my way across on Hwy 2, and sometimes Hwy 20 until I don't have far to drop down to pickup I-80... But all in all, it's the two lane State Hwy's that I like to drive as one gets to see the countryside so much more. It just feels more "homey" to me. :)
