Holy cow!!! I'll bet her shoulders' gonna hurt. She needs to pull that into her shoulder tighter. I wonder what the occasion was?

I wonder what the powder charge was that she was using?  Watching her load it, it didn't seem like much.
I think that if she shot it from a standing rest, it would be a lot easier on her.

And, if the yoke was solidly mounted in a wall it wouldn't be bad.  .75 caliber would be a little over 12 gauge IIRC, so unless she had a very hefty powder charge the recoil should not be unmanageable (as she demonstrated).

I agree, plus the fact that wall gun has gotta weigh more than a pound or two.

Great video...There's a reason it is called a "wall gun." I agree with everyone else. If the gun had a solid mount there would be no issue. But, it was a fun video to watch. Thanks for sharing.

How does this gun compare to the duck guns I have heard about that were mounted on boats for market hunting ducks and geese?

Ray, You are referring to Punt Guns.  Seems like they were of a larger bore size, like 8 bores, 4 bores, maybe even a 2 bore thrown in for chuckles.  Ferocious guns they were.

Image of firing a flintlock  punt gun here in the UK ,it is still legal here but not many still use them

Yup...as soon as I saw it in print, I remembered Punt Guns. Thank you all for the swift kick necessary to reengage my cognitive apparatus... :toast

Ray, For purposes of reengaging ones cognitive apparatus, I like to provide a little lubrication, maybe a deep red in color, and I ain't talkin' 'bout no ATF, either,  Something about the color of a nice Malbec is perfect. :luff:

Looking at that again, it sure looks bigger than .75 to me, although one can't see the bore.  However, there IS another clip entitled "Belgian .75 caliber percussion wall gun" which was off to the right of Mae's shooting adventure on the youtube page.
