Starting a New Strap
« on: October 30, 2009, 12:13:53 PM »
I have just finished wrapping the loom and this is how it looks before I start weaving.I have already wrap my design into the strap, when I finish this today I'll post the finish strap. This strap is for "ME" my first strap of my own. Also this strap is going to be 3in wide a first for me.Beaverman is making a longhunter bag for this strap.OK see you all later, Time to weave.

3" wide?

What is it, a tow strap?

Ol' dummy here would like to know; Is it possible to weave a strap that is larger, or wider, on one end or the maybe the middle, than it is on the other end(s)?

(Keep in mind I don't know "squat" about what you're doing, or how you really do it...although I have watched you work that loom  before...and, one time Lady Smith even tried to show me a little bit on her small hand loom but her fingers were to fast for these old eyes.... I suspect I was just to amazed at the finished product to grasp the entire procedure.
That, plus the fact that anymore I have the attention span of a big ol' Grasshopper.)

Uncle Russ...
It's the many things we don't do that totally sets us apart.

Sure that 5" strap isn't a brace for dunlap disease?  You know, where your belly dun lapped over your belt.
