Shout Out To Track Of The Wolf
« on: May 23, 2019, 07:58:07 PM »
I gotta give Track Of The Wolf a big "shout out"  :hairy

I mailed in an order with a personal check just this past Tuesday and I already received a confirmation the order is being shipped. Now that's service folks! Today is only Thursday.

That's why I like doing business with TOTW!  :hairy

In the same vein, a big shout-out to October Country. I ordered a container of Bumblin' Bear Grease and already received it this afternoon. Not only fast service, but what appears to be an excellent product, as well.

Oldetexian,

I've always heard good things about October Country.  In fact, I can't say (that I can recall) any company in the business of supplying our - hobby / sport / pastime, that hasn't provided good service to their customers.
That's a darn good reputation to have for sure!  :hairy

Yep, the Riplingers are a class act.  No doubt.
I am very happy also to hear the good report on my old business, October Country.  And I am really pleased with Bumblin' Bear Grease.  It's what I use.
Yep, Joe, not only are the vendors that keep us going good people, but I gotta say that everyone I have ever met as customers are great people.

Hey John. What all do you use your Bumbling Bear Grease for? Patch lube, or other things as well? I got it primarily to try out as period correct waterproofing on my moccasins, but it has to have a dozen other good uses, as well.

For gun care, I use it on all metal parts and on the stock.  I am not much on using stuff like that as a patch lube, except for hunting.  For that, I typically would buy a bag of OxYoke pre-lubed patches.  I use those because they were the only ones who made correct size patches for .62 caliber and .72 caliber rifles.  I am not sure if they make those anymore.  October Country "might" still have some of those in stock, but no bets on that.

For Leather, I use it on boots for waterproofing.  It does a pretty good job, apply liberally around the seams and on the tongue.  (of the boots, not the thing in your mouth).  Apply a lite coat on your shooting bag and buff it well.  Leaves a nice, soft finish.

For your own personal well being, it is a pretty good chap stick for lips and exposed areas of skin.

That's about all I have figured out.  I like it, I use it, 'nuff said.
