Here's a pair of pistols I figured you guys would like
Built by James R Horn from around Sturgis SD
Had a pile of trial and error parts with him and told me all about the build
I was able to handle them and the work was exquisite!
I posted 2 pics I think one was a little more detailed

I can't say, as I've ever seen any swivel breech pistols before,.... thanks for the pictures.
-
That's a first for me also.

And me as well. I like 'em!

New to me, too. Interesting.

Man, those are awesome. What caliber?
-
45 cal
They were beautiful
He had a couple other pair of pistols there I'll try and find and post the pics tonight
Wonderful man to talk to
He is at least in his 70's if not older
I wish I could apprentice under him

Here's the other pistol sets

Jake,... did the same fella build them all?
-
Yes that's all he builds is matched sets and builds the boxes as well
He does alot of living history and different school presentations on plains Indians
He was at the Kearney show last Saturday on the far wall away from the entrance
That's where these pics are from
He said he took them to the CLR show out east and had alot of attention there

I don't know how in the world I missed seeing those in Kearney,.... I must'a been doin' too much talkin' with old friends, and not enough "lookin". :)
-
You and I will just have to go booth by booth next year so we can see everything!!!

Jake,.... that sounds like a "plan".

Pure eye candy!
Quite an event they have there, I have heard OJ and others talk about it before.
Hope that someday I can make it myself.
Seems to me you two had a pretty good time there, and now you're looking forward already to meetin' up next year, it don't get better than that!
Uncle Russ...
