Yes, all iron.  I am not usually one to use a patch box and probably would have not ordered one at all but I am the second owner and the "peanut" as this style of box is called really makes this rifle for me.

Oh, my mistake. It's a 50 caliber. It likes a charge of 75 grains of 3f but I haven't really shot it a lot so I'm not sure if that's the best. Hopefully I will be able to wear all my 17 90ish gear and clothes when I take it hunting.

Matt and company make a very nice firelock, don't they? The TVM EV is a very nice hunting piece, made the way you want, and without being all over spendy. I'm an admirer of their work.

Great outfit.  With a horn from Rick and a bag from Lynn you cannot go wrong there.
Who made the knife?
Like you, patch boxes really do not do much for me either.
Looks like you got a great big old bandage on your trigger finger.  Testing how sharp the flint is?

I like the EV rifle and hated it when I had to sell mine.  It was a .50 x 42" x 3/4" straight barrel.  Yours is gorgeous though I don't much care for that patchbox.

Nice outfit! I used one of Lynns straps with unfinished ends for a horn strap and kinda liked the look of the fringed effect of the ends. Hope you can get out and shoot soon. BH

She is beautiful and the previous owner made me a deal I couldn't refuse so now she lives with me.  Since I've been out for so long and not able to shoot, I'll have to make up for lost time and then the triggers will look like I've been polishing them.
