Hey since everyone is staying busy at home, has the BOD thought about a raffle like we have done in years past?

Folks pay a small fee for a chance at items made/provided by members. And the member mails the item to the winner.

:hairy Sounds good to this pilgrim. What do we need to do to make it happen?

Years ago when I was VP and ran the raffle we had members donate prizes, most were hand made some were bought and donated,  the first year we had a cutoff date for the donations and they were mailed to me by the raffle date, the next 2 years I had members send me pics and posted them in a separate locked post, when the raffle was held they mailed the prize direct to the winner, so we'll need someone to ramrod it and make it happen, David are you listening? :hairy

If the raffle gets off the ground, here's what I would donate:

2 - 1000 packs of Southern Bloomer 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 square knit cotton gun cleaning patches.

2 - Muzzleloader Originals brass nipple picks in a brass case (pick screws into one end).

2 - 200+ packs of Southern Bloomer 3 inch round knit cotton gun cleaning patches.

2 - 100 packs of Muzzleloader Originals .54 caliber Felt Wool Wads.

2 - 100 packs of Muzzleloader Originals .58 caliber Felt Wool Wads.

2 - 4 ounce jars of Precision Lube 2000 bullet and patch lube.

I'll ship them to the winner(s) and pay for USPS First Class shipping with tracking.  USA addresses only, lower 48, Hawaii and Alaska.

All I need is the mailing address (PO Boxes are OK) and a valid email address so the winner will get the USPS tracking and shipping confirmation.

Please let me know as soon as you can.

Paul

How about we just have people mail me a check or money order for however many tickets they want andnI collect til the deadline. Then I wait 10 days to make bbn sure that all the mail-in have arrived. I will have been putting names on a piece of paper per the orders. On the date of the drawing I will get my almost 3yo grandson to draw the names for me and let the winners and donors know so they have get in touch with each other. Then I mail the funds to the Secretary/Treasurer.
