Darn!  It is good lookin' and I was hoping I could upgrade my "cap pick".

Early in my cap gun experience a fail-to-fire led me to discover several used caps stuck in my hammer. After that I started checking with each shot and using a small screw driver to flick the problem caps out. Got home and spotted a length of brass rod waiting for another project and realized it was just what I needed. Made this quick, attached it to my capper and it's served well, as you can see from the blackened tip.

Not pretty, but it does the job.

I stand corrected, a position somewhat painful to achieve, but once there, is quite satisfying.
