Title: Camas Meadows Rendevous
Post by: One Shot on September 25, 2020, 01:46:27 PM
I did not want to highjack the Ram Rod for the GPR thread. But a few discussed the Camas Meadows Rendezvous aka Soggy Moccasins.

Here is a link to the Cascade Mountain Men site that has the history. Scroll down or read it all.
1000 people they say attended at its peak. If anyone still has pictures it would be interesting to see.

One Shot,
Great history.  Really enjoyed reading all about things.  Reckon I knew several of those fellows named in the article.  And sadly enough, some of them are no longer with us either.  Others I wonder if they are still around.  It was always my impression that all the members of the CMM were great guys.  Most of my experience with them was at the various gun shows they put on.  I really enjoyed the one in Kent, that was my favorite.  Monroe is OK, but not OK enough to draw me 1,200 miles north to attend again.
Again, thanks for the history lesson.  I probably do have some photos of Camas Meadows, but no idea where they might be.
