How many states have a state muzzleloading association?

What function does it serve within the state?

Aaand, go.

Montana has a few local clubs that I know of but no State org I have heard of.
Hard to keep alive with all the high tech distractions.  Very few TMA members  :(

New York State has one as well:  New York State Muzzle Loaders Association - The Association  Unfortunately, I'm not a member and probably won't become one any time soon.*  However, while perusing the site, I found a schedule of a local club's 2016 ML shoots, which was something I didn't expect.

Surprisingly, California does have a state association.
I think the main function they have is the annual state muzzleloading championship shooting match held every year now in Sacramento.  It used to be held in Fresno.
No doubt, it is allowed here in LaLaLand because muzzleloaders do not typically have large capacity magazines. :lol sign

Nebraska has the United Nebraska Muzzle Loading Association and they hold the annual Nebraska Muzzle Loading State Shoot each year. The two I've attended in past years were well ran events, and they try to get the Nebraska ML Clubs to volunteer to help run it. I've not been to one in probably 7 to 8 years so my info may be out of date.

The UNMLA is pretty much a copy of the NMLRA shooting rules and programs. I certainly enjoyed the two I attended and much of that is do to the good folks you meet at these type events out this way. Pretty much a laid back easy going approach to a fun pass time/hobby.  :lt th

Texas Muzzle Loading Rifle Association.

The range is in Brady, Texas.  They hold three shoots per year.

There's two clubs here in South Dakota
Muzzleloaders of the Black hills located on the western part of south Dakota
Dacotah territory muzzleloaders that are located in the Aberdeen area which is far north east part of the state
Both clubs have rondys
I've never been to the one in the hills
I went to one of the Dacotah territory rondys a couple years ago which was actually a High plains rondevous
I'm not sure about it there was hardly any advertising for it and when we got close to the area there were very small signs with just an initial and an arrow I talked to a couple vendors and they were disappointed and expressed concerns with trying to keep the get together small and not branch out
I am afraid that kind of attitude will kill interest in muzzleloaders and rondevous alike
But who am I to say anything
I would kill for a club or even a couple guys close to me to shoot with

Riley how many groups does Minnesota have it seems like there is a ton of stuff going on there

(Muzzleloaders of the Black Hills),,, (Chadron Fur Trade Rendezvous - Bordeaux Creek Fur Trade And Muzzle Loaders Assn),,, and (Camp Clark Raiders - Bridgeport, Nebraska) are the three clubs I know of closest to me that I should frequent more often, but don't always have enough time to do so unfortunately.

This is one nice thing about the TMA, we can bring like minded folks together 24/7 through our website topics and postal match competitions.  :lt th

Here in Indiana I'm fortunate to live only an hour from the NMLRA home, Walter Cline range and grounds of which I'm a proud member. Along with that I'm within an 1 12 hour drive to 4 other clubs.
All of these organizations are promoters of the black powder shooting sports, education, skills, crafts and heritage.

Always wanted to get to one of those but never made it. Have to work this weekend unfortunately - otherwise I'd be very tempted to load the wife in the SUV and head on down. Just talked to my son in Kearney and he tells me it starting to snow there, but I think it's suppose to be decent this weekend. Enjoy the convention Rondo. I'll catch up with you when we get better weather.  :shake

Yes, they're forecasting a chance of snow here in northern KS today too,.... but it looks like the temps may be in the 40's over the convention's week-end. (hope so)  :shake

odd I was President for 5 years and had press releases in dozens of news papers. When Gary Fallesen was outdoors writer for Rochester D&C he'd  regulary feature NYSMLA NEWS.

You're just not reading the right stuff!
