Our Local Temps / Weather
« on: January 04, 2019, 08:16:00 AM »
While it's quite uncommon for us to have this kind of nice weather in January, I'm not gonna complain just yet.

Over the next 10 day forecast we have one day with a low of 42 as the high, and one day with 57 as the high... Those other eight days are mid to high 40's and low 50's.... And to think I was considering going south for the winter  :Doh! what was I thinking  :Doh!

This actually is pretty darn uncommon for us around here where I live.

I can't complain even though yesterday morning we made it down to freezing and I had to move my truck to face the sun and wait 5 minutes for the windshield to be free of frost before I headed to work.  ;)

Now we're back to our normal, almost bearable 40 to 70 degree range.   8)  ::)
The trouble with doing things right the first time is no one realizes how hard it was.
Often, however, the following is more applicable.
I stand corrected, a position somewhat painful to achieve, but once there, is quite satisfying.

This last whole year has been strange. Warm when it was supposed to be cold. Cold when it was supposed tom be warm. Way above average rain. Several floods and mud out the wazoo. Other than that, it was perfect. :Doh!

Hank, I think we've all had some strange weather for several years now. It's not like when we were kids (last century)  when the weather seemed,,, well more dependable I guess for lack of better wording... :P :Doh!

SharpStick, did you run down to Tombstone last week and get into the snowball fight they had shown on facebook?  I would've never guessed that in a hundred years... :)

Rondo, we both know how that Kansas weather can go. It could flip flop and get warmer there then here in the blink of an eye. They say we're gonna start getting high winds sometime tomorrow. Lets hope the wind is more kind to you and Beth down there in Kansas then it will be here.

Weatherman says only 10-15 MPH breezes here for the next 10 days. :hairy

Strange Weather has indeed been the "norm" this past year.
I've never seen anything like this last year.

We had mid-40s on Saturday. supposed to be 40s & rain today. No rain yet but very heavy air & 40. We are not looking like biathlon weather here in SE MN! The ground is bare!

Just checked the thermometer on the front porch and it read 62̊ F.  Our little black dog is lying out on the back porch, soaking up the warmth in her arthritic bones.  I asked her if she was ready to come in and she just looked at me....
