It's on my list to visit sometime.  I would like to see the real thing made by the artisans.  I have only seen a few in museums, and on the www, of course.

I would encourage all who can , to check out the pipestonew quarry . The last I knew , there were only about 20 pipemakers working the quarry.  I always made it a point to stop there for a day when traveling near there . There is a (used to be ) a nice campground  just a shot distance from the quarry . (reasonable rayes) and they used to take tenters , hard to find a place that allows tents these days .
