This is SCARY! Is TMA dieing?
« on: November 19, 2023, 04:12:37 PM »
I haven't been on for several days and all I see is one private message and seven postings on a single topic, six of which were a conversation between two members.  Where is everyone?  I have seen this type of decline on other boards, and then they were GONE!  I hope we see an upsurge in participation but am not holding my breath....

Sadly, you are right. IMHO if a forum that's all about tradition, history, and the guns of early America can't get more than a handful of people to shoot even one time a year, and can't even get subscribing members to send an email to win free $$$ each month, and where's there no chatter = death by 1000 cuts. Adios, auf wiedersehen, good bye, TMA. I'm truly very sorry to see you go. My heartfelt thanks to all the many good folks I met here and who have helped me learn. You know who you are.

Well I'm still here too. But maybe not for long. Back when I won the Jan. - Feb. cash drawing I renewed my membership for another year. But come June 2024, I'll probably be history. Some time back, I  was told by someone on this forum, that I should know better. All I was looking for, was some opinions from knowledgeable people who share a common interest. I don't believe I deserved that, then or now. But I continued, trying to help breathe some life into this org. It saddens me that I may lose contact with many whom I have learned to respect. Once again, I'm sorry for ruffling any feathers. When I think about the time and effort , I put into learning how to communicate on this stupid tablet, to be a part of this TMA, I have to ask myself why.  Oh I will still be making smoke, and trying to punch holes through the bullseye. But just won't be sending them to anybody to show others how I did.

I'm still going to be here., I just hope that we will see more participation!  But when it comes to the cash drawing, that is a form of gambling and goes against my moral beliefs.  I don't begrudge anyone the chance to enter, it just isn't for me.

Me, too, kinda.
Not quite the actual beginning, but close enough that I am a charter member, just barely.  #150.
I like the people here and I also like the fact that all the troublemakers have left.
I will probably be here until they carry me out.

Many of us are right in the middle of our State hunting seasons... And of course we're entering into the Holiday's... I kind 'a think in the past - this is normal? And I kind 'a think there is mention of this each year...  :shake
