Title: Lock swap-Sourhern mtn. rifle .32cal.
Post by: Gordon H.Kemp on August 07, 2010, 03:22:34 PM
Not exactly building problem , I'm looking for parts ?  This is a "made in Japan" sold by DGW. Over-all I think it's as good as anything from Sppain or Italy .  The only problem I have with it is its percussion instead of flint .  They had a kit you could buy to convert it back and forth  from perscssion to flit and vica-versa .  The "kit" was the lock and the th liner and/or the drum . All I need is the flintlock. If anyone has a lock  (flint) to fit the mortise give me a shout .

IIRC, L&R makes a line of drop-in locks for the DGW TN rifle.

Thanks , Mario , Their prices are a whole bunch better than DGW . If I can't locate a used lock  , I'll probly go with L&R . How is the weather up that way ? Been real hot and humid  here !

One day will be beautiful and then 95degF with 90% humidity for 2 weeks...

Makes me wonder why I want to move Down South.  :?
