Title: Saved another Old Hickory
Post by: prairie dog on November 19, 2012, 03:26:33 PM
A good cleaning and a new handle put another Old Hickory knife back into service.  Walnut scales and brass rivets.

I don't think this knife was ever sharpened and the old handle looked like it had seen many trips through a dishwasher. No matter, it was given to me and she isn't getting it back!

Still find a few vintage old hickory knives at flea mkts. and garage sales. I have one I rebuilt several years ago and keeps an edge a long time between sharpenings . Nice Job !
