I have been reading through the posts for a few years now and finally decided to post some pics. Here are some photos of my latest build.

Very nice! Wish I had that talent!

Nice.
Have not seen a rifle with a secondary patch box like yours before. What is it used for?

I made it just big enough for an extra flint. Instead of digging around for one in the main patch box and fumbling through my tow and jag. It works really well. I only saw one pic of one out of all my books while researching and it was by Dunmire or something close to that spelling. It is sort of unique.

You did a beautiful job on that lovely girl.

I really like this rifle, you blended that brass "just right" in my eyes!
What caliber is she?

That's a beauty...

Looks like right nice work to me...

Far as I can tell very nicely done, I have seen one original with a similar double patch box, it was unmarked and very rough. I haven't seen the owner in years.

One of the neatest things about these builds is how you can make them just so, like no other rifle...
-
You do good work
-
Nicely done

Brilliant and well done on the second patch box! I may have to borrow that idea on my build.
-
That is a gorgeous rifle.

Those pierced patch boxes are fun to inlet, aren't they? Nice job.
