Title: Traditional Style Sling for Thompson center
Post by: Hood on May 10, 2014, 05:40:56 PM
For lack of better words, I am looking for a more "Traditional Style" sling for more Thompson Center.

I'm not concerned with historically correct, just something that appeals to me. I am trying to change my Hawken to look more like what may have been used, but again, not necessarily HC.

I am looking for something like this from track of the Wolf http://www.trackofthewolf.com/Categories/PartDetail.aspx/1245/1/SLING-RIFLE-D , but I'm not sure how it would work on a half stock.

I appreciate any advice...

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply!
I was looking at that one, but it seems too long for my Thompson Center.
However, I found one just like it, only a little shorter at Dixie Gun Works.

I realized after I posted that the GPR is a little longer that the T/C so I'm glad you found something similar that has the right length. That jute strap will be a little stiff at first but becomes pliable with use. It looks the part too even though there aren't any historical examples of that design as far as I'm aware of.
