Sent to PA.  to hunt deer .   .58 cal.  oct-rd. 1:66 X 31" Oregon bbl. co. tube.  Walnut 1/2 stock from a blank.  late Davis lock.  Steel trim, 7-1/2 lb.   comments taked on 2nd tuesday of next week....Tom

Well, heck, Tom, I guess I am just going to rush things and not wait until the 2nd Tuesday of next week.  Might never get here, and if it does, I'll probably forget.
First off, it looks like you got your own guard cat going there, doing what they do best - either sleeping or paying no attention to the antics of mere humans.
From the woefully scant number of photos, it does look like a sweet rifle.  Sure has a short sight radius, though.  The fellow must have some eye problems?  Or is a simple matter of age?
Elegantly simple rifle - I like it.

I like it a lot and in 58 cal. it will be good for anything deer,bear,moos,elk.at 7 1/2 lb.it will get your atention when ya pull the triger but it will be nice to carry.
