I picked this up by accident at the store today lol , I had a old man moment , but any way can I shot this out of my hawkens 50 cal , I know the t7 ffg has a reduction by 15% vs pyrodex rs, any help would be much appreciated thanks

If it is a flintlock, you will have to put a small measured amount of real black powder in the muzzle first, then the triple 7. Not a handy way to load, but it will fire. I use it (fffg triple 7) in my .32 percussion sometimes and it works well.

No it's a capper hawkens 50cal, thanks

I've shot plenty of T7 fff and it worked great in all my percussion ML'ers. Even works in 12ga shot shell loads

I have used a fair bit of 777 in .50 ML for Boy Scout shoots. It is supposed
to be better than Pyrodex P - but I have not seen a great deal of difference.
To be honest we shoot somewhat light loads - 50 gr (volume) in .50 cal max
But very reliable and cleans up fine. Especially with my very own Ol' Thunder

Thanks for the replies , I really like the 333F since I started using it, brings the rifle alive for sure, I will continue to use it, thanks Swampfoot

No reason in the world not to keep using it.
I have to remind everyone, that many of our guests and members can only buy T7 locally.
It's been that way for several years now.
I found myself in that same predicament, where I had to use T7, and I never had any serious problems with it.
I got a case of Goex a couple of years back, averaged about $16 bucks and pennies for a pound, which was not bad, and I'm glad I did, as there is still no real Black Powder in a 100 mile radius of where I live...of course there ain't much of anything else within a 100 mile radius of where I live either!
Uncle Russ...

I agree uncle russ, I like the 3F no problems with it at all, it's a lot cleaner than the pyrodex, just got to use what we have available, I had a load In my rifle for over a month darn thing fired off with no delay, I'll stick with it , I guess I was self taught over the years about MLers and never used any powder except pyrodex until I found this forum , a wealth of info is for the take here, swampfoot
