I sewed up this possibles bag several years ago, from some tanned leather a friend gave me.
I started the project by scissoring sections of brown paper grocery bags until I got the shapes/sizes I liked to assemble the paper pouch with staples; then dis-assembled the paper to use for leather cutting patterns.
I included a patch knife sheath on the strap, a beavertail flap over a main pocket, with two small internal pockets on inside of the back wall of the bag, and a full-width pocket on the outside of the front wall.
Please excuse the clumsy stitching - It was my 1st attempt at making a bag.

That's looking really good for a first try to me!
Hate to see how the second try may look if you think this one has flaws!

looks nice. and bein' a long time Ruger fan I 'specially like yer emblem on the flap.

Yeah :) ....... I stitched a copy of the Ruger/Blackhawk logo, substituting my initial ("P") for Ruger's ("R").
Thanks.....

hope you didn't take my comment the wrong way. I've always liked that emblem & think you did an awesome job with it.

Thank you - and no, I read you right.
I took your comment in the spirit it was given (which was IMO positive). :shake

Clumsy stitching, eh? Now, I can show you some real, live clumsy stitching; I'm a master of it. I just wish my latest was as good as your first.
