Probably contacting the maker, Jim Chambers, would be the best idea for that.

You'll have to re-drill and re-tap to 5/16-32 threads that fit only the White Lightening liner,...... Vent, Touch Hole Liner complete kit with drill & tap, 5/16-32 thread, stainless steel, White Lightnin' - Track of the Wolf (https://www.trackofthewolf.com/Categories/PartDetail.aspx/960/1/THL-W5S-KIT)

The last I knew, chambers only offered the 5/16-32 thread liner,... and once you drill and tap for his liner, you'll find no other liner that will fit.

Ok thanks I will contact Jim Chambers

He makes 3 sizes, 1/4", 5/16" and 3/8". I almost universally use 5/16".

Thanks for the info.

and this is why a 5/16x24 thread can be drilled out and re-tapped for a 5/16x32 thread ... just a skotch larger for the 32 thread size. ain't we lucky?

When I'm getting slow ignition, or poor accuracy in a smoothbore, first thing to do is to scrape the breech face. Generally cures the problem. White Lighting liners are okay, but no better than any other, and I don't like to proprietary thread size. As was mentioned, if you need to replace, you are stuck with that size. If they become no longer available, that means going to a machine shop to have replacements made.

Thanks Waksupi. I will try that

I always start out using a 1/4" liner. I can go to 5/16" if I need to. BTW, I always use standard UNF threads. 1/4-28, 5/16-24, etc.

Probably a little late to the show - however, did you try removing the vent liner (I'm guessing it is coned) and polishing the inside of the cone? I've done this a couple of times with a q-tip and 00004 steel wool - seems to help.
Not saying this is the problem, but it's worth a try.

I have had the same experience with my trade gun. As soon as I get a hangfire or flash in the pan, I put on my breech scraper and that usually takes care of it. I can usually get 10 to 15 shots in before the fouling builds up. And that is with Elephant powder, which is dirty stuff. With Goex, I can get twice as many shots in before I have to scrape.

What is a breech scraper and where do you get one?
