Title: Q for rollingb...!
Post by: sse on January 08, 2017, 07:05:20 PM
Years ago when I took delivery of the Swan (.54 cal Hawken), in addition to being packed in the stout container that you made, when removed, she was covered inside/out, lock, stock & barrel, with a moisture resistant application, in case it was dropped from the wagon while crossing the M'sippi... I think you told me you used Birchwood Casey Sheath.

This product is no longer available, but before it was discontinued I purchased a small can.  It's been in the basement for years.  The directions say to shake well before use.  I brought it upstairs to warm up a little bit and I'm wondering if you think it is still any good, or whatever agents inside the can may have solidified/spoiled beyond useful purpose...

Any thoughts?

Jimmieeeee,.... If the can was stored "un-opened" I'm sure it's probably still good.  :hey-hey

It'll settle, but mixes right back up with a bit of shaking
Thanks, rondo.  Not sure how well this stuff will mix if it's been sitting for so long.  I'll mess with it and see what happens.  Thanks for the recommendation, never heard of that stuff.
