in the latest muzzleloader magazine a reader wrote in a neat way to salvage lead - he places an appropriately sized steel plate or gong inside an old tire, lead rings the steel and splatters, falling down into the tire for recovery. but yep, ya gotta hit the gong and not the tire - and not miss the whole dang thing! but overall, i like it! credits to bruce patten. :bl th up
