I've had this book since 1978. I just dug it out of the bookcase and brushed the dust off. It's out of print and quite valuable now.

Yes, I've noticed that the Kindig books are going for a premium! Amazon shows yours anywhere from $84 to $460! :o
Best make sure your heirs know its value if you don't sell it, or they might donate it to the thrift store. :laffing

How is that book on pictures
I've heard it had plenty in it
I've kicked around buying it but I've never handled one
And hate to blindly throw money at one

For a while there it looked like all the Shumway Publishing titles were going to become collectors items. I was told that many of the printing plates had been used so many times that the quality of the printing was noticeably degraded and it was going to be necessary to produce new digitalized masters if the heirs wanted to continue the business. After searching for a buyer for the business I think they backed up and made the decision to do whatever they had to do to keep their titles in print.

Iv'e got the 3rd edition an the color pics are great. Its a darn good book whichever edition you happen to have
