Thanks for the warm welcome.
I am a Vietnam vet. I was drafted into the army one year after graduation from high school.
I am retired, married, and the father of two sons. One is a college professor and the other is a helicopter pilot in the Coast Guard.
I am a NRA certified RSO and NRA certified rifle and pistol instructor.
I am a member of two local shooting ranges here in NJ and a member of several national and state pro second amendment organizations.
I own an equal number of long guns and handguns both centerfire and rimfire.
Several years ago I acquired a used TC Hawken which sat in the safe until until last year. I took it out last year and I really enjoy the whole process of loading and shooting and even the cleaning.
This summer I acquired a Pietta 1851 Navy and a Uberti 1858 Remington which I also enjoy.
I found TMA on a search engine while looking for information on black powder firearms and I decided to join the group.
The way things are going here in NJ, black powder shooting may be my only option in the not too distant future.
