Title: Steel targets
Post by: One Shot on September 08, 2019, 03:37:34 AM
We are looking at building some new steel targets. What thicknesses of mild steel do most of you use at your ranges? We will mix them up any where from 25 out to 200.

3/4 inch.  The half inch bends.

Save yourself some heartache and get some AR500 steel for your targets. You can then shoot whatever and not destroy them. Yes, I know it is expensive but--- you are more than likely in this for the long haul. YMMV.

I agree 100% with doggoner.

If you watch the ShootingTargets7 website, every holiday and some notable days, they have specials on their targets. I expect the next one coming could very well be September 23 as that's when Autumn begins - and if they don't have a sale going on then there no doubt will be one October 14 (Columbus Day)... Very good folks to deal with. Check out their site.  :bl th up
