Well we knew our area was going to get snow and I was sure hoping they were wrong - unfortunately they were right... (I don't know what it is - being right about the weather all the sudden)... We have at least 10+ inches on the ground with at least an inch of slush under it, and of course the wind is blowing... We could very easily get snowed in... I guess we're picking up where we left off in April of this year... :Doh! oh,,, not again... :P

Spokane got Snow as did WA passes but here in the Seattle area we only are getting the Brr (high 20s - low 30s ) & it's still only early Oct. :Doh! {Global Warming :o :o)

Both of you fellows have my best wishes. here on Snake Mountain at my cabin it has been getting down into the high 50's, but I know it won't be long before that will be the highs and not the lows. Right now, however, it is a perfect early Fall.

It's a bit brisk here in Lakebay Wa this am, 27 when I woke up at 6 am, global warning my a$$ ! Hey Joe 10" damn it could be worse, it could be us getting the snow, ;) ;D ;D ;D I feel for ya Joe!

Jim, I do expect it was my turn to get hammered... I know in past years you all have had your share out there. My wife and I (like the old couple we are now, :laffing got out a'little while ago and ran up to the dollar store just to make sure we could get out of the ally if we had to... Well, the cats need cat food anyway... It could of been worse, could still be... The wind is pretty much putting the snow where it wants it -now... Apparently it wasn't happy where I put it... :laffing

You can keep that snow Joe, I won't be ready for several years yet.

I don't want to hear about this snow stuff in the far north. I've got to make a trip up to Rexburg Idaho in a couple weeks and I don't even know if I own a coat warm enough to deal with cold snowy weather. That's anything below 60 degrees.

The old Weaving Welshman lives in Sand Point, he posted on FB 2 weeks ago that they were getting snow, at the same time my Son was out Archery Elk hunting just north of lake Chelan, above Spokane, stuck an 6x7 late one afternoon, brought out the head that night, (3 miles in and 2000 feet of vertical gain in 1/2 mile) (glad it wasn't me!), went in the next morning to a cold hike, by the time they got the rest of the meat loaded to hump out ,it had snowed 10 inches in 3 hours, thinking it's going to be a crazy winter this year!

Being used to it, and with a light breeze in the shade, it's not too bad. I'm not looking forward to the well below freezing weather that we get around January and February, but I'm looking forward to much cooler. And it's coming soon, I hope.

You guys already have me shivering in anticipation for the next few months... :lol sign. But yesterday we got a load of fuel oil delivered up here to the cabin so I will be good for late hunting season. The fireplace is nice, but I need more wood for it so the fuel oil makes me feel better.
I have a 2 night business trip to Chicago next week, and I think I am going to breakout the longjohns before I head up that way. That wind up there cuts deeper than most of my knives...lol

Ray, better take a good wool coat or a leather jacket if you have one, I'm Chicago born and bred, left to go to USMC boot camp in 1973, haven't lived there since, leather or a couple layers are the only way to cut that wind, especially if your going to be downtown or along the lake, good luck and safe trip!

Looks like I spoke too soon guys. 42 degrees and pouring rain today. So much for shooting on my day off.

Hey Beaver. Semper Fi, my friend! I am here in the Windy City,,,and it is ust that. The temp isn't that bad, but the wind will definitely get ya. Fortunately, I am inside most of the time. I fly back home tomorrow so I think I will make it without frostbite, at least on this trip.
