Title: Groundhog Hides?
Post by: Spotted Bull on March 30, 2020, 08:50:00 AM
Anyone have a lead on case-skinned groundhog hides? I'm itching to get one and make a bag out of it.

Bull,
If I was looking for anything having to do with hides, antler, claws, etc. I would try first Eidnes Furs in St. Maries, ID.  If they didn't have what I was looking for, my next idea would be Moscow Hide and Fur in Moscow, ID.  If I struck out there, I guess I would resort to Google.
Hope that helps somewhat.
John
PS  Well, on second thought, I guess Eidnes has sold off and gone out of business.  Here is an interesting article about both above businesses.

The damaged hides a reasonably priced and should work well for a bag.

Well I wasn't specific enough. I was looking for brain tanned or bark tanned.

But I may go with a hair on hide, too.
