Well, with all the uncertainty of whether or not Chadron Fur Trade Days will be held this year, I may just do a camp out in my yard and shoot some archery targets with the grand kids (or by myself if the grand kids can't make it)... :shake

I've seen some small rendezvous in my time,.... but I can't recall any with only one camp. :lol sign :toast :shake :*: :applaud

Joe, if your area is anything like the West Coast, everything is shut down for the near future. So, you might as well do your own thing as that will be the only thing you will do.
Were we still in Idaho, and still up in the hills, that is exactly what we would be doing. I would set up the pyramid and put out all my good camp gear and move into it until it got too cold to enjoy. Probably the end of September or the first part of October. We used to do that every year and it was great. I had a couple of chairs that were set up inside the tent, and we would go out there about dark and light a couple of candles and pour ourselves an adult beverage. I had a wind up radio (I know, not primitive, but who cares?) So, we would have a drink, listen to tunes, and chit chat about the day's happenings. The candles burned about an hour, which was ample time to have our drink, get undressed and hit the hay and wait for the candles to go out. The radio would about wind down by then as well. I probably miss those times as much as anything down here.
Have a great one man rendezvous, Joe, I am green with envy.

Thanks John. I'm sure the grand kids would have fun with it,,, and if they can't come, well this ol' boy would still enjoy sleeping out in the tent... Neighbors will probably think the wife kicked me out into the yard... :laffing
Sounds like you had some pretty darn good times, John. :hairy

Well, Joe, the tent is sure a step up from the ol' doghouse, isn't it?  :luff:

A while back I mentioned to my wife that we need to set our 14' pyramid up 'cause I need to repair about 1 foot of seam near the top.
It might even be fun to set up a couple of more camps along with the pyramid and get some pictures complete with flags flying, and maybe a horse and mule tethered nearby. :applaud :bl th up :*:

Sounds like a great plan!! :applaud :applaud

That sounds like a great idea to me too. But it was 92 degrees here today. If we get a cold front to come through I may put up a shelter in the yard and take my grandson out for a camp-out!
