The temperature has moderated, a slow cold rain is fallin', the shelter ain't leakin' and I have a couple' extra logs for the fire. I got a seabiscuit soakin' in a bowl of portable soup while I chew on a hunk of jerky with nothing to do but ponder the wonders of the world and the plans for the day!
In truth, I turned the thermostat up a couple of degrees and opened a curtain and sit here watching the dreary rainfall. Testing the results of last nights finishing of hardtack and portable soup. While waiting for it to soak, munching a couple of slices of bacon. All the while putting off the cleanup of last nights cooking.
