Howdy!
Just a wanted to introduce myself and throw a few things out there.
I'm Joe Niemeier out in NW Nebraska.
I met Marty (ohiojoe) about 10-11 years ago when we started our rendezvous journey at BCFTMLA south of Chadron.
He and I really enjoyed each other's company at rendezvous and his grandson and my daughter played for several years at rondy until the grandson moved away.
After his passing, his kids/other family went through his hunting/fishing /outdoors items and procured everything they had any desires for, then I bought a lot from Cindy that she wanted to sell before she moves back east with the kids.
In the lot there is a box of TMA medals... I would like to get them to right people to be used at the events. If yall can help me with y that.
Some of his rifles will live on in the hands of 4h BP club kids in Eastern Wyoming, some in the hands of our own rendezvous/muzzleloader club.. And some down in Bridgeport NE as well.. I have put a few rifles into my collection, and added his beautful library to my own as well.
Marty will be sorely Missed and he was a great guy to hang out with...
Looking forward to getting to know all of you..
Joe

Well first welcome, glad you're here.
Second, I haven't been with TMA long enough to answer the question on medals but I know someone will be along to answer it
Again welcome

Hi Joe from SW PA. Don't do much with introductions, but because of your friendship with Joe, I needed to say this . You were blessed to have known Ohio Joe. Not a day goes by that I still think I should be seeing a post by him. He always had a come back to any post I've ever made. Have fun here and make some more friends. :bl th up

RedOneFive, several years ago I made up two plywood folding tables with canvas table covers along with two semi-fancy TMA boxes (everything complete with TMA logos) to display and distribute TMA fliers and other TMA info at rondies.
I kept one table and box, and gave the other pair to Joe,.... if you could get your hands on the box and table w/its canvas cover that I gave Joe, you could continue distributing TMA info at the rendezvous you attend.
I'm sure Joe would greatly appreciate your efforts in this matter,.... as would I. :) :bl th up :shake
Welcome to the TMA, and thanks for your consideration.

Thanks for the welcome yall.
I will dig around and see what I can find for the Tma table cover and such.
Things had been dug through pretty heavily and were a bit of a mess by the time I was on scene. I'm still Helping Cindy find a home for a few odds and ends.
I think if i remember correctly I met you at our rendezvous (Chadron) in '20 or so Rondo?
If I can find that cover and such I will try to still distribute the materials.
If there is something I should do with these medals and ribbons please let me know as well.
My boys are cubbies for 2 more years, but I think I may try to spark some interest into muzzleloading with the scouts before long. That organization is hurting and needs some fresh interests. I did do a demonstration on the fur trade one evening last year for them and it was well received.
Once I can find a little time I'd love to get involved in the postal matches as well..
I look forward to getting to know yall.

We very well could have met at the Chadron Rendezvous that year, my memory isn't as good as it used to be. :embarrassed
RedOneFive, the items I gave Joe are,....
1. a white 2ft.x4ft. 3/4" plywood table with black folding legs.
2. a white canvas table cover measuring aprox. 9ft.x 9ft. with TMA on it.
3. a dark stained and varnished 13in.x13in. plywood box with 3 TMA stickers on the front of it, stickers are covered with plexiglass. There might even be TMA fliers and some other TMA paraphernalia remaining in it.
I hope these things can be located, and find their way to other rendezvous to let others folks become aware of the TMA,.... if not, it isn't the end of the world. :)
As for what to do with the "medals and ribbons", (as far as I'm concerned) I'll leave that up to you since you and Joe were good friends. :bl th up
All the best, :shake
